Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria

Under the auspices of Federal Ministry of Aviation, we undertook institutional strengthening of FAAN to improve its budgetary control and expenditure planning and performance, including reviewof organisation, commercial operations, procurement, capital expenditure and fixed assets, inventory management, and related accounting, information management, and computerisation. The report was critical of the Honourable Minister and of Management, but a subsequent Presidential Committee on Aviation upheld the findings and recommendations contained in the report for implementation.

Nigeria Airways Limited

Under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Aviation, we undertook a review of Nigeria Airways Limited, initially to determine its funding needs, but it led to further studies to determine the company’s viability, including organisation structure, personnel policies and procedures, commercial and technical operations, assets management, procurement systems, accounting and financial management. Based on our findings, we assessed the company’s short-term and long-term survival by reference to its earnings, liquidity, and its short-term and long term debt. We recommended the winding up of Nigeria Airways Limited with further recommendations on formation of National Flag Carrier.
